Are you looking for activities to do with your toddler this fall while at home? Then look no further than this ultimate Toddler Fall Activity Bucklist you can knock out with the little ones this holiday season.
Toddler years are such a special time. Your little one experiences new activities, objects, colors, and senses every new season. Yes, this may be their second, third, etc. season, but their brains are still developing, which means each new season brings a new wave of learning!
You already take advantage of this season by taking them to pumpkin patches, hayrides, and petting farms, but why not take advantage of doubling up on the learning while keeping the little ones occupied as you make dinner?
Toddler Fall activities
This fall, I have compiled a list of Toddler Fall Activities that will keep your little one engaged, entertained, and educated after a fun day on the farm. Let’s dive into the fall fun you can have at home with your kiddos.
Muddy Farm Animals
Did you spend the day at the petting farm? Seeing the horses, cows, and chickens can be so fun! It is especially fun when the fall weather makes the farm a little muddy! Take the farm home with you in this Muddy Farm Animal cleaning activity. The little one’s barnyard animals have gotten stuck in some homemade mud. Have them scrub the animals clean after they roll in the dirt.
Pump patch sensory bin
Pumpkins are a toddler’s best friend! These orange balls of fascination always draw the little ones’ curiosity out. Activate their senses by bringing the pumpkin patch to the kitchen table so they can sort out all the types of pumpkins.
Window clings
This has to be the easiest and cheapest entertainment for the kids. Odds are you’ll stop by the store on your way home from pumpkin picking. Snag a pack of window clings and let the kids’ imaginations run wild while they decorate the windows for fall. You can also buy them in bulk on Amazon for super cheap here!
Pumpkin Plate faces
Don’t plan on carving or painting pumpkins this year? Take the cleaner route and make paper plate pumpkins! You can buy a pack of pumpkin face stickers and pumpkin paper plates from Amazon for less than $20. Real pumpkins are about $7-10 PER pumpkin. With the Pumpkin Plate Faces, your kiddos can have ENDLESS jack-o-lanterns.
Fall tape tree
Nothing is better than taking the kids for a walk or a drive in an area full of color from all the trees changing colors. It is truly an indescribable time of year. Bring a pop of color into the house with a Fall Tape Tree. It is a simple yet entertaining activity for the kiddos to enjoy anywhere around the house. Snag a bag of fall leaves off of Amazon and use the roll of tape from your drawer to create a tree shape on their bedroom door.
Felt jack-o-lantern or turkey
Another fun way to decorate the house is to create felt pumpkins and turkeys that can always have new facial expressions when you walk by. If you create enough felt emotions, this can help your kiddo express the emotions they are feeling.
Jello Graveyard
Get a little spooky with a Jello Graveyard! Maybe your kiddo has had jello, or perhaps they haven’t. This is a fun way to engage them with a new texture while they learn their body parts! Snag some eyeballs, rubber hands, and maybe even some spiders from the dollar store for the kiddos to find in their graveyard.
