2022 Mood Board

Happy 2022 my favorite people! Thanks for venturing over to the blog on this fine January day. It’s been quite a while since I’ve shared a post on here but that’s going to change this year. After evaluating 2021, I realized this beautiful corner of the internet of mine is where my passion sits and deserves a seat at my dinner table each day. With that being said, I’ve set strong goals and planned new exciting content for 2022.

Each new year, I pick a word that’s my mantra and set goals as opposed to resolutions. I personally think it’s more motivating and helps cut the bad habits I would have made resolutions for!

My word of 2022 is:

Devoted

Devoted means you are strongly attached or show strong affection towards a purpose. This year I plan to devote myself to my goals, my blog, my relationships, and any realm of my life I can devote my heart to, especially the purpose Jesus has set for me.

My goals this year are:

  • Be Present – I want to be present at Church, with my blog, my relationships, and with my family.
  • Stay Disciplined – I am fairly good at this but 2022 is the year of grinding with my blog and Splash N Dash while also staying on track with budgeting, fitness, and my overall well-being.
  • Embody God’s Plan – I am a planning type of person so learning to let go and have faith in God’s plan is going to test me in 2022 but I am excited to see where it takes me.
  • Let Go – I tend to let stress, opinions, anixety and so much more control me and my mind… but not no more! I plan to Let Go and Let God!

Content to Look Forward to in 2022:

When I began blogging in 2017, my purpose was to remind my viewers that regardless of how low life gets, there is beauty in every hill. Over the years, I’ve touched on different aspects of my life. As I begin my 5th year of blogging, I’ve decided to create content that reflects the hills I’ll be conquering in 2022. So this year, expect to see:

  • Travel Tip Tuesdays: 2021 was a year of rest with minimal travel. This year, travel is making a come back like the butterfly clips you wear in your hair lol…
  • Wedding Wednesdays: Recently Kyle and I got engaged with the plan to have a wedding at the end of 2022. So stay tuned for all things wedding!
  • Growth and Recovery Friday: I’ve worked hard over the last several years to navigate trauma and work towards developing myself. This topic is so important to me and I hope to help individuals similar to me conquer this very untalked about subject!
